#58  KICK IT UP A NOTCH CHURCH

It is One Thing to Make It To Heaven.  It is Another Thing to live a victorious life daily.  Jesus paid the price for everyone to have abundant life (John 10:10); a life of fullness in every sense of the word.  He is our example.  If anyone can produce good fruit it is Jesus Christ.  Since he is our example we are to produce good fruit also.  Do we?  Do we on a daily basis?  Do we even check the fruit in our lives periodically and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal what we need to know.

Note:  If we are raising the bar daily as taught by Dr. Mike Murdock and other  mentors; and exemplified in their lives; we will be doing a lot more than an inner search with the help of the Holy Spirit.  Being led by the Holy Spirit is a daily challenge.  He is our teacher and will help us.  Yet we are accountable to him to establish the changes in our lives that he requires.  He won’t change.  He does not have to change.  We do.  Bottom line…we are not yet perfected, we are in the process as our mind continues to be renewed with the Word of God.

The more our mindsets line up with the Word of God the better able we are to live a life of victory.  Live a life whereby we daily look forward to seeing the hand of the Lord at work on our behalf.  When we have eyes to recognize this happening life becomes exciting.  We are expectant, exuberant, exhilarated, as the joy of the Lord floods our soul, our innermost being.  The soul: our mind, will, and emotions.

Unfortunately many Christians do not recognize the hand of the Lord at work on their behalf.  Consequently, for them life is not full of joy.  Furthermore it has been my experience that when many of them witness someone with much joy, they become aggravated.  They recognize fruit that is not in their life and often become jealous, or accusatory.  Neither stand, benefits anyone.  An unhappy person can resent a happy person.  Do not let the enemy use such a person to stomp on your joy.  Resist negativity.

If a “Reacher” becomes determined to get some of that joy, he/she can easily have some as well!  There is an abundant supply.  So if you happen to be one of the non-joyous souls, chin up….you CAN be.  “With God all things are possible.”  “The joy of the Lord is your strength.”  You need joy and your desire to have joy is from God.  It is His desire for you as well.  So how do you achieve this victory?

Get mad at the enemy.  Get mad at mediocrity, lukewarmness, sameness, and do something different if you expect different results.  My heart is stirred because I am encountering more and more Christians with less and less joy and it is grievous to me that they are so robbed.   If you read or hear my recent testimony of God opening the windows of heaven and blessing me by doubling my income, and more…. you could say it is easy for me to have joy.  May I remind you…with love, you don’t walk in my shoes; having joy is a decision I made and do my best to maintain a high level of joy with God’s help.  I spent too many years not smiling, without joy.  God turned things around when I obeyed His instructions.

The truth is, prior to my recent blessing, I had the joy of the Lord on a regular basis.  I am a Senior, and to the glory of God a University Student was astounded at the strength and joy that I have even on the hottest of days this summer.  She was dragged out, tired on a daily basis, no energy.  I have much energy and for that I give God glory.  It is one thing to recognize a difference in someone’s life.  It is another thing to do something about it so that what you admire can become part of your life.  Allow me to help you see spiritually.

Rather than just go your own way, same ol’ same ol’ I encourage you to get stirred up enough to do something about your lack of joy.  If someone steals from you, do you get upset?  I would expect so.  Well be equally upset over your joy being stole because as Dr. Jerry Savelle’s books states:  “If the enemy can steal your joy He can get your goods!”

It is up to you to get with it, take authority spiritually.  Decide that “Enough is Enough”.  Instead of living a hum drum, boring life, half hearted about all you do, get out of that mindset and recognize how you have been deceived by thinking things can’t change or won’t ever be better for you.  Those are lies of the enemy, the father of lies.  Rebuke them.  Those words are sharp arrows to your mind which is the battleground.  When you use you shield of faith and resist those thoughts that come, your mind will be protected and you will definitely see and feel a huge difference….for the better!  The decision is yours.

“We wrestle not against flesh and blood.”  It is a spiritual battle.  When joy gets smothered by words of defeat, lies that condemn; in time this weighs you down until you feel listless, tired all the time as the oppression takes hold.  Put a stop to it.  Bottom line….Jesus gave you the power over the enemy, satan.  He told everyone to take dominion over the enemy, put him under our feet.  Don’t wait for God to do it.  Too many people are sitting around complacently waiting for God to DO something.  Dhaaaaah.  He did all He is going to do when He sent His Son…John 3:16.  Jesus Christ paid the price on Calvary when he took the keys to the Kingdom of God back from the devil.  Now you have those keys and a responsibility to use them.  I am sounding the trumpet:  Wake up church”.  Too much has been lost because of the body of Christ not using those keys.

You can kick oppression, depression, listlessness, the weights and cares of this world….right out of your life, out of your home by taking spiritual authority.  When is the last time you cleansed your home spiritually? You clean house regularly.  What about spiritually, whether it is one person or several that live there, this is a wise thing to do.  Anoint each entry and exit with oil, pray over those entries, cover your home in the blood of Jesus and everyone that is ever… in your home; as well as every ….thing….. that is in your home.  Pray only those God wants there will come in….others will be redirected and blocked from entry as you are protected.  “Safety is of the Lord.”  Despatch angels to guard your property, surround the perimeter.

Take authority over any evil demonic spirits that are lurking in the home.  Rebuke them in the name of Jesus and evict them from your home as you would an intruder.  Just because you can not see them, does not mean nothing happens when you pray accordingly.  It is important, just as important as it is to keep your home clean and orderly.  No clutter.  God is a God of order.  Besides, your home is a reflection of you.  Hmmmmm.  (Yeah, or ouch.)

One thing that might help inspire you to either keep things in order, or to begin to do so and remove clutter is with this image.  Imagine Jesus coming to your door.  If you saw him in a natural body, what would you do?  What changes would you want to make?    Can his presence be felt when people enter your home?  Does your home have anything in it that you would not want Jesus to see?  Get rid of it now.  That is an area the enemy has got an opening where he can increase it subtly without your knowledge like a pie wedge that increases, so do something about it now.  Your life is a result of decisions you make.  Do not blame anyone else.

If you are married, become a team doing this together and see the power of God be magnified in your life as you experience this:  “one puts to flight one thousand; two put to flight ten thousand”.  If you are single, Jesus is your spiritual mate so invite his help as you proceed.  We need to believe what the Word of God says.  That is all there is to it, and when we do, these are things we will be doing on a regular basis.  Not only that, we will be able to help others see spiritually, and get their lives and homes in order.  Seeing Jesus at work in your life daily is Tremendously Inspiring!!

How great does it feel when you walk into a living room that has just been vacuumed, everything dusted, clean, windows sparkly clean, not a crease anywhere, no spots or stains, fingerprints, etc?  You feel refreshed to step into a room where things are in order.  Your mind grabs the peace and pleasure when you survey your home and this is what you find.  Confusion is gone and your prayers of clarity result in more than one breakthrough.  In ten minutes you can do these things and I recommend following the cleansing with a time of praise and worship unto the Lord Jesus Christ.  How pleased he must be when His Children are obedient and his suffering was not in vain.  The blood he shed was not in vain.  Laying down his life for you and I, was not in vain.  Nothing he did was in vain.  Obedience to the Word of God always benefits you.  Always, and God honors obedience.  You are doing yourself a favour when you obey God.

Okay, this is what was on my heart tonight.  Heaven only knows just what I will do with it because it is surely too long for a blog.  I wrote it nonstop and can hardly get the words out fast enough.  It just tells me that the Lord Jesus Christ wants us ALL to live in victory, wants us to have joy, strength, a sense of well being, satisfaction, deep inner peace as well as a home where he is welcome all the time.  Also, a heart where he is also dwelling….not coming and going because the welcome mat is removed on occasion.  Dwelling!  So please take charge in your homes because it is for your own good and that of anyone else that lives there, or visits.

These things you do are not restricted in any way by color of skin, nationality, race, so just follow through and know that the Family of God is a Family where healing runs in our Family.  Let this become part of the process.  Sometimes it is a simple thing we do that makes a huge difference to us and to God.  Kind of like a simple change, repeated, becomes a good habit…resulting in major changes.  It is easy because it is done once step of obedience at a time.  Life does not have to be the school of hard knocks all the time.  Take charge.  You have authority in the Name of Jesus and when you use it, your spirit will be uplifted as well because you are acting in obedience to the Word of God.  Fear has no place in the life of Christians, except for the healthy fear of the Lord.  Sickness has no place in the Family of God.  I better not get started there… so for now: God bless each person that reads this and I do pray you implement the suggestions I made.

#THINK about this:  No home….can be too Joyous, too Peaceful, too full of Love!  THAT’S a given.  So if you could use a little more, welcome the Presence of the Lord Jesus Christ into your home in a greater way by evicting darkness and by welcoming the Holy Spirit, honor His Presence.  You will be glad you did.  If anyone knows how to please you, bless you, give you the desires of your heart, and more, he does!  After all, he put those desires in your heart so be expectant…joyful…worship him…and sleep in peace as your home truly becomes a haven of rest, peace, love, and joy.

When your faith is in the Word of God and in Jesus Christ, you are pleasing Him.  Keep your confidence in Christ.  Kick it up a notch as your raise the bar higher in your home, a “Home Sweet Home” in the truest sense of the Word.  The word ‘WELCOME’ will take on a whole new meaning and your visitors will see and experience the changes too.  You are blessed to be a blessing.  Aim to make it to heaven and enjoy abundant life while passing through on this earth.  I challenge you:  BE A BLESSING!  BE A BLESSING….to the glory of God!!

#54  TRUTH

Truth is:  some 'Truth' hurts.
Sometimes 'Truth' is humorous.
Other times 'Truth' is painful.
Yet again, 'Truth' is liberating.
'Truth' can be partial...white lie truth...
'Truth' can be whole...the whole truth
And nothing but the truth.

 Truth is:....'Truth' can be twisted.
 'Truth' can be trusted.
'Truth' can be discerned.
'Truth' can be believed.
'Truth' can edify.
The Holy Spirit is:
The Spirit of 'Truth'.

'Truth' is part of God's DNA.
'Truth' is part of God's Character.
'Truth' is...God does not change.
The percentage of 'Truth' you know
Is the percentage you are free.
You shall know the 'truth'
And the 'truth' shall make you free!  John 8:32

PS.91:4 ...truth shall be your shield...
PS.51:6 ...Behold, You desire truth
PS.119:142 and your Law is truth
John 14:6 I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
Eph. 4:15 but, speaking the truth in love...
Eph.6:14 ...having girded your waist with truth
1Tim. 2:7 I am speaking the truth in Christ
2Tim.3:7...to the knowledge of the truth

#48.  ALPHABET

I find it amazing how God gives me ideas.
The Holy Spirit, who is my Teacher, is so kind.
He just showed me to go through the alphabet slowly,
Pick a word that comes to mind for each letter
Then write a poem about each word.

Next thing I knew twenty six poems were created.
Written under the inspiration of the Holy Ghost
In God's perfect timing.

I give God the glory and can tell you:
I'm ELATED!!

NOTE: Ask God to give you what I call a "Light Bulb idea"; something that will help propel you to the next level more quickly.  Have faith to receive...

#53 The Real Deal

One sheet of paper
Unmarked, wrinkle free, crisp, clean
Rest silently before me
Words are yet unseen.

The paper is symbolic of my life
The day I got saved and sincere,
Made Jesus Lord and pressed close.
He could never be too near.

He gave me a free will.
Each day is as a fresh page to me
Awaiting ink to reveal each word
While simultaneously making history.

Because today is now yesterday
And tomorrow is at the door
Anticipating my wise decisions
Because when it comes to wisdom, I pray for more.

The page may reflect changes
As one word is exchanged for another.
Life's battles reveal scars
On many a sister and brother.

The page now becomes a house
For words from the heart
Reflecting the character within
Right from the start.

Out of the abundance of the heart
The mouth speaks...(Lk.6:44-46) so true.
When joy and peace reign supreme
Repeatedly, God communed with you.

And you with Him; it's called "Communion".
Spiritual intercourse with the Master.
He floods you with His presence
As you wait, it's faster...

Faster than asking others for a word
And far less dangerous too.
When you hear the Holy Spirit's voice
You'll know what to do.

Whether He speaks to you
Through the Word, TV, or me
In a poem such as this
The truth, you will see.

The Holy Spirit quickens it to you
Because He wants you to know truth always.
You shall know truth and be set free.(John 8:32)
Makes for much better days!

From a word to a sentence and more
His plan is revealed gradually
As you continue to commune;
An image, a thought, scripture, during prayer, from "He".

When released through pen or computer, to paper
It becomes more real
Eyes see, words come alive...
To your heart it does seal.

You know that you know, that you KNOW...
When it is the "Real Deal"
So walk in the Spirit.(Gal.5:16)
Don't go by how you feel.

Your page may have scars 'n wrinkles
But your heart will be pure,
Your hands will be clean,(PS.24:4)
You will more than endure.

As you climb yet a higher mountain
And yes, even soar
As an Overcoming Eagle
Always reaching for More!

It is the wind of the Holy Spirit
That lifts you Higher and Higher
From a Poem to a Book and a Song
Victoriously THROUGH waters, rivers, and fire!(IS.43:2)

Your single "word"....... multiplied
As in Christ you abide.  (John 15)
Jesus is seen by all
'Cause He IS light, you just can't hide!(John 8:12)

A Vessel of Honor you become;
An Ambassador of Christ each day(Eph.6:20)
Whether in a song, book , or poem
Or when you pray.

Consequently,
There is really no end.
You are solid, as is your Rock...(PS.31:3)
The Rock that does not bend.

Jesus is His Name
'Causing ;you to be transparent, be real
'Cause after all is said and done:
JESUS...IS...THE..."REAL DEAL!!"

#52  BATTLES OF LIFE
FYI:(Bring your coffee...this one's not short!) :-))

When there are numerous re-tweets on the topic of "Battles of Life" it makes me think many people are in a battle.  Yes, we are in a spiritual battle daily, yet it is not uncommon to think you are the 'only' one 'in' such a battle.  Realize the devil hates you whether you are a Christian or not.  That is his nature: HATE.  So if you think being lukewarm will get him off your back, NOT!  Where would we all be if Jesus had that kind of an attitude?  Besides, we are to be like Jesus so face the fact that you ARE in a spiritual battle.  Daily, 24/7, sometimes more intense than others; but so what?!!! (Eph.6:12)

The same Jesus that carries you.....whereby you see one set of footprints, changes not.  He said he would never leave you nor forsake you, (Heb. 13:5) and he does not lie.  So the first thing to remember when you are feeling the 'heat'....is that you are NOT alone.  Secondly, you have the Word of God through which the Holy Spirit will speak to your heart.  Thirdly, you have the blood of Jesus to cover yourself with, the full armor of God to protect, (Eph.6:11-18) and last but not least, 'Worship'.

YOU... decide what to magnify: the problem....or the answer.  YOU choose your Focus.  A right decision is what results in your success.  The sooner you obey the instruction of the Holy Spirit, the better.  Otherwise you set yourself up for repercussions.  Why?  Because delayed obedience is disobedience.  Timing is important to God and should be to everyone.

Let's take one area of 'life problems' and zero in a bit.  Since I have had opportunities to pray with people recently regarding oppression, head aches, etc. I will address this.  My prayer is to have sharp discernment, and for the Holy Spirit to help me be sensitive to discern oppression quickly so I can take authority over it spiritually.  If I don't, the heaviness continues until it feels like someone has their foot on my neck, or like my head is being pushed to the floor.  That kind of activity is not from God.  BUT GOD gave us victory over this and we must use the weapons we have been given.  Not run to the medicine cabinet!  In fact, that might be a good place to place a small Bible as a reminder to go to God first in prayer...  just sayin... :-))

                    *****                    *****                    *****

I pray: Father thank you that I am the head and not the tail, above and not beneath and by the stripes laid on Jesus Christ, I was healed.  I take authority over Satan and his advocates and rebuke them in the name of Jesus, I command all pain to cease, I rebuke oppression in the name of Jesus, and I go to the root of this and rebuke every ungodly unedifying word or thought that comes against me and send it back where it comes from 7 fold in the name of Jesus....with forgiveness.  Thank you Lord for honoring your Word.  It will not come back void.  It will accomplish what it is sent to do.  Hallelujah! (IS.55:11)
I refuse to bite the bullet and be offended at anyone.  I choose to focus on you Lord, and praise you for setting me free from the darkness that is trying to come against me.  Every wrong word is like an arrow that my shield of faith stops and it becomes like a boomerang returning from whence it was sent.  Bottom line, people reap what they sow.  How others treat me... is how You, God... will treat them.  (When I learned this I was so uplifted and realized the battle is the Lords. (1Sam. 17:47).  Psalm 46:10 says...."Be still, and know that I am God."  'Be still', in another translation means to 'cease striving'...and I do.)

I turn the stumbling blocks into stepping stones and rise up higher....I refuse to get into the pig pen with carnal people who want to throw mud.  The greater the pressure the higher I soar, until I am worshiping the Lord freely, unhindered, as an eagle that soars above the storms of life into the area of tranquility. (IS.40:29-31)  A little prayer, from a fervent pure heart combined with the Word of God....a little praise, a little thanksgiving...all goes more than a 'little way'.  (James 5:16; PS.150:6; Phil.4:6)  Try it, because when your faith is in God and you are moving forward in Christ, there will be battles, yet we are not defenseless.  We are more than conquerors through Jesus Christ.  (Rom.8:37)

I heartily recommend that if you are trying to win the war by NOT...  entering into spiritual warfare; you are deceived, lazy, and headed for a downward spiral fast.  To be born again, even Spirit filled and NOT pray in your heavenly language, the perfect will of God; let alone NOT pray in English and take dominion over all evil with the promises of God, is to your detriment!  Do not rely on your parents, mate, family, friends, church, prayer partner to bail you out each time there is an attack.  You are accountable for your actions, or lack of.  What do you do with your Bible?  Are you one of the many people who leave it at church for months and haven't even personalized it by entering your name?  How you treat the Bible is how you treat God...

                  *****                    *****                    *****

You are in God's army if you are a Christian and you are responsible to get with it.  When you got saved that was like  'Day One' of school.  This spiritual school will NEVER end, so get used to it....get used to growing spiritually, maturing daily.  In fact, yearn to do so.  To NOT do so, to NOT apply yourself accordingly, will hold you in bondage like  a chicken in a coup limited to  ground zero level.  There is no satisfaction in mediocrity!

Look at it this way:  would you be happy laying an egg in a stinky chicken coup daily, or soaring like an eagle high above the storms of life enjoying the magnificence of the view not to mention the liberty?  The decision is yours, God gave everyone a free will.  We are not puppets.

There many who say they don't know how to pray effectively.  The answer is: Pray the Word of God!  Plus study to show yourself approved (2Tim.2:15)....take a class, pray with others, learn by praying, and trust the Holy Spirit to inspire you.  To not pray because you feel inadequate is sin.  People are going to hell every single day and for eternity.  YOU can help bring people as far as you have come.  Teach what you have learned thus far.  Step out in faith and let your light shine because God wants to use you...yes, YOU!

Make yourself available to Him....be prayed up, in the Word, expectant, and go forth to blaze a trail because "with God all things are possible". (Mark 10:27)  First you learn to win over the attacks of oppression caused by gossip, slander, jealousy, intimidation, etc. THEN with the taste of Victory your desire is to help others.  Do it!  One by one by one and more.  Little is much when God is in it!

That is only one tiny example of the victories God has for you as you use the Sword of the Lord effectively.  Higher level, bigger devil but you will never run out of words of life when the Bible is your Source and your trust is in God.  He will not let you down.  Faithful...He IS!  God bless you as you also remember....we are on the winning side as 'In Christ" we abide! (John 15)  Glory to God!!!

#51  RISE UP, SPIRIT OF THE LORD

When the Spirit of the Lord rises up from deep within, you know it!  I prayed for someone and when one particular topic was touched, it was like a match was ignited and energy shot forth with each word.  The effectual fervent prayer of the righteous avails much, and two of us were in agreement in the Name of Jesus.  That is when praying is fun.  You know things are getting accomplished and your words are backed up by a God who cares and does not falter.  We reminded Him of His promises that His Word will not return void.  That pleases Him, and us too!

I do not want to spend time praying if it is just to appease someone.  Faith must be the force behind the prayers and when the words are supported with the Word of God the fire is more than lit.  It has an impact of shooting a torpedo forth on behalf of those who are on the receiving end.  Darkness is lifted off of them and they are lifted up out of evil, away from the hands of the enemy.  Snatching souls out of hell is joyous, and God always has ways of confirming the change of heart.  He is faithful.

When you have been delivered from much, and know it, have experienced the joy of being free in Christ, you are pleasured to pray for the fallen.  Knowing there is hope for them as long as they are still breathing, means keep praying....never give up on them.  God did not give up on me....or you, for that matter.  Seeing lives change because Jesus now is real to the person you prayed for is thrilling.

Jesus becomes their savior, trusted friend, is a voice they want to know and listen to.  Jesus is not hanging on a cross, or laying in a tomb, he is alive and well.  He sits at the right hand of the Father in Heaven.  When a soul is saved and set free....has entered into a personal relationship with Jesus....money can not buy such liberty.  Don't ever give up on your loved ones especially.  Pray believing because God is listening and values your prayers.  Like the old song says...It is no secret what God can do.

Acts 16:31 "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved, and thy household."  (Immediate family....I claimed it for my Daddy years ago and had the privilege of leading him to a fresh commitment to the Lord, with tears streaming down his cheeks.  God honored His promise in Acts 16:31, and little did I know that 15 1/2 hours later..... my Daddy... would be in Heaven. "Mission Accomplished!"  Glory to God.

#46.  Peace...Wonderful Peace Within

Peace.....peace within....is wonderful.
Peace within is my umpire.
Peace within is my prescription for permission.
Permission to continue as I have been.
When the Holy Spirit gives a new instruction
I will obey and follow through, until then though...
I stay sensitive to that wonderful peace within.
It is really not so hard....to do.
There will be times I do things different from the majority.
As long as I do so, and continue to have peace within
It really and truly is....okay.
Being led by the Holy Spirit requires sensitivity
To His Voice so soft, gentle, and sincere;
Yet strong and accurate always.
His voice I can clearly hear
Whether others are far or near.

The reason being....He is closer to me
Than anyone else in the room
Because He is within my heart always, forever.
So He is closer to me than any problem whatsoever.
Jesus stands between me any the entire world, it's true!
How could I help but feel protected, valued, secure...
Jesus, through the power of the Holy Spirit is with me
24/7 and that is why even in tough times I can endure.

So I praise God for the baptism in the Holy Spirit
Plus His instruction always lines up with the Word of God.
His Words edify, comfort, encourage, and correct too.
He can calm a storm in seconds with five words so pure.
Such results are the reason I want to spend time with him regularly
Because after all He's done for me
I want to bless him by singing praise songs
And telling Him I love him...thankfully.

#45 GO DEEPER TO DISCOVER OIL, DIAMONDS, GOLD

Why would it be any different when it comes to the Word of God?
To discover truths that are hidden below the surface one must dig deep.
Not just read the Bible at surface level.....as many do, unfortunately.
The mysteries are secrets to be revealed; not something for us to keep.

Original meaning of the word 'mystery' in Hebrew is 'the secret way
Iin which God governs the righteous but is hidden to carnal wicked men.
This tells us the condition for which one has access to the mysteries
Is not to be carnal or wicked; rather Godly, righteous; & not just now & then.

There is a price to pay to receive such revelation from the Holy Spirit.
It requires time, deep thought, meditation on God's Word;
Crucifixion of the flesh  and not leaning to your own understanding
Because it is the voice of the Holy Spirit that must be heard.

He will lead step by step and it will differ from the majority.
That is why you must be rooted and grounded in the Word & in love
Plus be committed to digging; going deeper to receive
Understanding of the mysteries via the Holy Spirit, the Dove.

Some think the word mystery means we are not to know what it is.
That is the meaning in the Websters dictionary.
The origin of the word in the Bible is in Hebrew.
That is where it started and is truth to me.

So I leave this little poem with you now
In hopes that I whets your appetite
Too dig deeper into the Word of God every day
And seek to get revelation from the Holy Spirit
In Jesus' Name I pray.

Another  time I will share revelation I received.
My spirit was so uplifted and my countenance showed
Because when it happened my mindset changed.
No wonder I absolutely glowed.

When the Holy Spirit quickens something to you
You know that you know, that you know
It was not empty words, not carnal thinking,
You were energized, quickened, and  knew God told you so!

Be blessed as you dig into the Word of God and I also pray
That the Holy Spirit will reveal something to you today
That will be quickened to your spirit, you will be energized
And you will be  joyfilled all day because He heard you pray.

He answered your prayer and now you want to receive more.
That pleases Jesus because he wants everyone to mature spiritually.
He hides diamonds, and oil, below the ground's surface so why not
Also hide what He so mysteriously calls......a 'Mystery'?!

Mystery:  The secret way in  which God governs the righteous
but is hidden to carnal, wicked, ungodly men.

`#42.  What Is This World Coming To?

The longer I live the more I recognize God at work every single day.  Like last week when not once or twice, but several times the same thing happened.  I went to a special fish and chip restaurant after work on Friday.  While I ate my meal, I heard two people behind the counter speaking another language the entire time.  I think it was Italian.
When I came home there were two people speaking Chinese, Cantonese, because that is their native tongue.  Then a third person later was on the phone speaking yet another language, Hindi.
In the morning I was seated in the bus and three people, one on each side of me, plus one in front of me... were all using their cell phones and you guessed it:  none spoke English.  I have no clue what language they were speaking, but I quit trying to read.  I prayed instead.
When I went to Shoppers Drug Mart I waited while someone spoke another language with a clerk.  In the clothing store it happened once again.  Two clerks speaking another language.  Next I stood in line at the bank and sure enough, listened to two people in line speaking yet another language. At work Filipino was spoken, and a dialect from the Islands.  After   about seven times in two days I began to feel like I was the only one that spoke English.  There was a tendency to feel isolated...It is a good thing I don't go by feelings.
                       >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
We are creatures of 'habit' and 'familiarity'.  We are drawn to what is familiar.  Everyone wants to 'belong'.  I began to feel like I was the only one that did NOT speak at least two languages, although I do have my Heavenly Language and I use it diligently.

It is one thing to feel alone in a crowd....yet another thing to feel alone in a crowd because it seems there are huge walls of language barriers.  Not only verbal barriers, but the whole scenario about texting has curbed conversations one on one.  It is robbing people of a healthy interaction socially, and hinders their ability to enhance verbal skills.  Especially the youth of today are falling into this trap.
So of course I found myself saying....What is this world coming to?  The answer is:  AN END.  For sure, my thoughts turn to the Bible and the reason God did not allow us to all speak the same language.  He has a purpose for everything He does.  God says in Genesis 11:6, "If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them." (NIV)
Online Dictionary states: God realizes that when people are unified in purpose they can accomplish impossible feats, both noble and ignoble.  This is why unity in the body of Christ is so important.
To build, the people used brick instead of stone and tar instead of mortar.  They used "man-made" materials, instead of more durable "God-made" materials.  The people were building a monument to themselves, to call attention to their own abilities and achievements, instead of giving glory to God.

Question for Reflection:
Are there any "towers" you are building in your life?

#40.  Who Controls Your Mind?

This puts the ball right back in your court...who controls your mind?  What determines the state of your mind?  How much has your thinking changed since you became a Christian?  Do you apply what you study and learn?  Do you flood your eye gates and ear gates with the Word of God and good teaching?  Do you continue to raise the bar higher, the standard for righteousness...do you raise it higher regularly?  Do you continue to stretch, reach, grow...?  Are you easily influenced by others?  Do you choose your friends carefully?  Do you influence them?  Are they teachable?  Are you teachable?  Do they honor you, and visa versa?  Do you recognize favor you have received?  Do you run a little checkpoint regularly in this area....same as if you have a car that needs to be checked.  If not...you set yourself up for ongoing increasing problems.  The old saying...a stitch in time saves nine...applies in our lives spiritually also.  To not deal with issues is only detrimental to self.

It results in smothering life and productivity, not to mention hope.  Procrastination prolongs progress.  God is a mover.  Move forward with His help.  (See next blog....)
